RIVER RIDGE RANCH RULE #3

This is always the most important lesson to learn during the weekend at the ranch.

As Christian men, it is easy to identify that you are a son of the living God, or brothers in Christ, but what is the specific name God has given to you?

The men head down to the river where Jack takes them through the process and suggests the questions to ask in pursuit of discovering that specific name.

Shane shares the powerful story of how God showed him his identity by a river in Arizona a year after his time on the ranch. God showed him that he has always been His "protector". That is why he wanted to be a lifeguard in his younger days after baseball. Now he guards young men's lives through his youth programs in California.

When you find out what you are supposed to do, what position you play, then you can wake up with a clear game plan. Jack used to coach out of a false identity, but later in his career, God gave him His true definition of "coach". In his later years, God called him to be a "trail guide". It is his greatest joy to walk with men throughout their lives, helping them make good decisions and providing counsel from his many "road miles" of life.

Gideon was hiding in a cave and God asked him what are you doing here? He said, you are my "mighty man of valor". Go act like it! Knowing who he was changed everything for Gideon.

We all need to figure out this life lesson:

KNOW YOUR ROLE ON THE RANCH
